Triage and Prioritisation
How we prioritize work and manage issues in Linear.
- The bug report and feature request workflows feed into our Triage boards in Linear
- Currently it's Greg's responsibility to pull issues out of Linear into a Project, and ultimately into a Sprint
- Issues are prioritised based on:
- Roadmap (based on business plan and the requirements of our partners, Gothenburg University and Trauma NZ)
- Pressure/pain
- The degree to which something is blocking our own staff and partners
- Proximity
- How close is this request to what's already being worked on?
- Complexity/difficulty
- How hard is it to build?
- Generalisability & force multiplication
- Does the request have value for multiple use cases?
- Does the request have many positive downstream consequences?
